DALLAS – Conference USA and Overtime Sports have announced that an additional year has been added to its current agreement to include the 2020 C-USA Baseball Championship being held MGM Park in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The eight-team, double-elimination tournament will take place Wednesday, May 20-Sunday, May 24, 2020 at MGM Park.  The 2020 Championship will mark the fourth consecutive year that the event will be played in Biloxi.

“We are very pleased to extend our agreement to bring the C-USA Baseball Championship to Biloxi an additional year.  The combination of the location, quality of facility and the support we have received from the city of Biloxi and the south Mississippi region, make it an outstanding place to hold this exciting event,” said Conference USA Commissioner Judy MacLeod.

The 2016 C-USA Championship saw Rice defeat Southern Miss in the championship game in front of the largest crowd to ever watch a C-USA title game (5,216).  Last season, Southern Miss followed up a regular season title by defeating Florida Atlantic to earn the championship crown.  The First 2019 C-USA Championship presented by Air Force Reserve is set for May 22-26.

“Overtime Sports is pleased to extend its relationship as the host of this most impactful championship,” said Tim Bennett, Owner of Overtime Sports.  “A special thanks goes out to The First Bank as the title sponsor for their contribution in making this all possible to the benefit Biloxi and so many other communities.”

The 2020 Championship will mark the 25th in Conference USA’s history.  Charlotte, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, UTSA and WKU are the 12 schools that compete in baseball.  The top eight regular season finishers qualify for the C-USA Championship.

Since its first season in 1996, Conference USA has established itself as a national power in baseball.  The conference has boasted six College World Series Appearances, 71 NCAA Appearances, three National Players of the Year and four National Freshmen of the Year.
