BOCA RATON, Fla. – (April 10, 2019) – Florida Atlantic University righthanded pitcher Zach Schneider has been named as a finalist for the 2019 Senior CLASS Award® for college baseball, as just one of 10 players recognized in all of Division I.
Schneider continues to excel in the back end of the bullpen for the 23-9 Owls. In 13 relief outings, he has a 2-1 record with a 2.05 ERA, allowing just six earned runs in 26 1/3 innings, with 23 strikeouts versus only six walks. He ties for the Conference USA lead with seven saves, and against C-USA foes, he allowed just one earned run in 14 1/3 innings (a 0.63 ERA), with a 13:1 K:BB ratio.
