Summerall had nine RBI and batted .538 in a winning road series for the Owls at No. 29 Southern Miss this past weekend.  On Friday night, his run-scoring single up the middle in the eighth broke a 4-4 tie to give the Owls the lead in what would eventually be an 8-5 series-opening win.  Then on Saturday, Summerall exploded for a 5-for-6 night.  He singled and scored in the first, doubled and scored in the third, and had an RBI double, eventually scoring for the third time, in the fifth.  Then, Summerall hit a three-run homer in the seventh, and would add another three-run shot in the eighth.   The North Palm Beach, Florida, native’s final line was 5-for-6, five runs scored (tying the all-time program record) and seven RBI.  In the series finale on Sunday, Summerall notched another hit, run and RBI, for a final weekend total of .538 (7-for-13), six runs scored and nine RBI, an OBP of .533, and the redshirt sophomore slugged 1.154 against USM pitching.

Pasquantino hit four home runs in four games to help lead Old Dominion to a 3-1 week, including a series win over Louisiana Tech.  He slugged at a 1.250 clip for the week and batted .500 (8-for-16), extending his hitting streak to seven games with three multiple-hit outings.  Pasquantino scored in every game, totaling six, and six RBI.  The Moseley, Virginia, native hit two home runs in the rubber match win over LA Tech, including a go-ahead two-run shot in the third inning.  Pasquantino has hit eight home runs in the last 13 games and now has 13 homers on the season, which is the second-most by an ODU player since 2000.

Santana’s career-best outing lifted FIU to a 2-0 midweek victory over Bethune-Cookman on May 2.   The Hialeah, Florida, native pitched a career-long eight innings of six-hit scoreless ball for his first win of the season.  Santana struck out a career-best 10 batters, which included sitting down 15-straight Wildcats at one point, and did not allow a walk.
