Overtime Sports is a sports management company which led the way to build the 2 minor league baseball stadiums in the State of Mississippi; MGM Park in Biloxi, MS (2015, Home of the Biloxi Shuckers) and Trustmark Park in Pearl, MS (2005, Home of the Mississippi Braves.

Trustmark Park

Overtime Sports is recognized as the lead negotiator and managing partner with the Atlanta Braves on their Minor League team relocation in 2005, a feat that would not have been accomplished if not for the tenacity of then Governor Haley Barbour and Bill Yates.
“The city of Pearl is featured in a new study ranking America’s best minor league baseball towns, ranked third for having a high quality of life and quality of baseball played by the M-Braves at Trustmark Park.”

MGM Park

Overtime spent over 10 years developing the MGM Park development, enduring the largest natural disaster ever in Hurricane Katrina, the largest man-made disaster ever since the BP oil spill and a recession that slowed growth nation-wide.
Southern Living magazine has put Bay St. Louis and Biloxi’s MGM Park on its Top 50 places to visit in the South.
These efforts have resulted in over 1 billion dollars in total economic impact for the states where the teams are located.

Tim Bennett

Tim Bennett memorialized the decade-long effort, signing the contract for the MGM Park development in Biloxi at Turner Field (former Atlanta Braves) and with the likes of Governor Phil Bryant, Mike Plant, John Schuerholz, Tracy McGrady, Anthony DelVescovo and George Corchis…….

“This shows that baseball is truly a team sport both on and off the field and a game that should know no color.  My company has been successful because of always being part of a great team”. – Tim Bennett<

Tim Bennett though never attending college or playing the game of baseball at any level is now honored to be one of only a handful of African-American owners in all of Major League and Minor League baseball, an honor shared with the likes of Earvin “Magic” Johnson, New York Yankees All-Star Derek Jeter and 2017 Hall of Fame inductee Tracy McGrady.

Bennett’s efforts have resulted in over $1 Billion Dollars contributed to the state of Mississippi’s economy, thousands of jobs and the state’s ONLY (2)professional sports franchises.
